Contest Rules

1. You must not be a professional chef or baker.

2. You must turn in two (2) pies. You will pick which pie is to be judged. The pies will become the property of the Block Party.

3. The pies must be in disposable pie tins.

4. The pies must be made from scratch. No store-bought or ready-made pie shells or dough. Also, no store-bought or ready-made fillings.

5. The filling for the pies must be at least 60% apple.

6. You must turn in with your pies the recipe that you used. This is to be on a 3" x 5" or 4" x 6" index card *without* your name on it.

7. Pies can be turned in from 2 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on the day of the Block Party.

8. The decisions of the judges are final.
